North & South (set in the last 1840’s and the characters also visit the Great Exhibition in 1851) *Some romance (nothing explicit) and minor violence – Both my daughter and I really liked this series. You get to see what the cotton mills were like, labor unions of the time, child labor and a mill town vs. the countryside, etc.
